Oops! I didn’t realize I didn’t post these pictures yet, so this is a bit out of order! Lets pretend you didn’t see the last post about the carpet, K? Thanks! I guess I was a bit excited!!
We didn’t realize till after the drywall was up and the walls were painted that we never pulled a line for the tv antenna! Oops! Deric asked Reygann to come down and help him, he needed someone really tiny! I was curious what he needed a tiny person for so I went down stairs with her. He needed her to squeeze in the wall between the wall of the old house and the wall in the playroom so she could grab the cable and pull it out!
She was really excited at first, but then it turned to scared.
Kylie gave it a try and could fit! So she wanted to do it. Once Reygann knew Kylie was going to do it she wanted to give it another try.
They got almost all the way there and she freaked out, and didn’t want to do it anymore! So they backed all the way out, and then Kylie went in first, that made it better. They got the cable and saved the day! Did I mention that it was dark and they were trying to do it by the light of the flashlight I was holding? I later realized that we could have shone it through the window (that used to be the outside window), then Deric said oh, I guess we could have used the window to get the cable, oops! Ha-haa! The girls had fun though, and they tell anyone that will listen about their adventure!
I finally got the doors, jams, casing, base, and cove painted! Deric installed them, filled the nail holes and I painted them yet again! Ugh!
He started building the desk, and this crappy picture is the only shot I got of it! Oops! Primer and 5 coats of paint later it was ready to install!!
Daddy and his helper installing desk. We had to wait for the wood filler to dry so we cleaned out the basement to get it ready for carpeting!
Doesn’t it look nice?! I don’t remember the last time it was this empty! It’s always been the tool dumping place, and any construction stuff we had has lived here while we have been working on the house the last few years.
Deric sanded the desk top, and I primed and painted (and painted, and painted, and painted…) it and it’s ready to install!
Doesn’t it look nice?
It’s almost done! He cut shelves for me, and I stuck them in to see what it’s gonna look like. …but I really don’t want to paint any more and they are still in there, UNpainted! Isn’t that terrible? He’s almost done building the tv cabinet… I’m gonna have to prime and paint that too, so I’ll do the shelves then. :0)
