Kylie's Revelation

Deric was cutting wood and it was making the house really dusty. The sun was shining in the windows and you could see all the dust in the air. Kylie walked by and exclaimed in a hushed voice

'I think I see God!' He-hee, isn't she too funny!

If God lives in dust he sure hangs out here a lot!!

Good one!

I love posting funny things the kids say and do, but most of the time I forget to write it down and it never gets posted. So I am going to try really hard to not forget, starting with this one...

We went to Home Depot bright and early this morning to get a few more feet of base, I decided to get crown for our room too and I knew our room was 12x12 so that is easy. I need 12 ft boards (that is was Deric said to get too), so that is what I was getting. The guy there was telling me that I need 13ft boards since they tip out and we will need extra room to cut them. Ok, that makes sense to me. I tried calling Deric, but he didn't answer. He called me back after I've already left the store. Our conversation went something like this...

D: Hey, what did ya need?

J: I was checking with you what size crown we need...

D: 12 ft, that's what I wrote down, right?

J: Well, yeah. But the guy said we needed it to be longer since it tips out and we would need room to cut it.

D: *laughing* When have we EVER listened to the Morons at Home Depot (Menards, or Lowes!)?? The room is 12 ft by 12 ft... putting crown in ISN'T going to make the room bigger! And tipping it IN will actually make us need LESS! HELLO!?!

J: Oh, yeah. I guess that's right. *Sheepish Grin* It's a good thing I'm cute!

Kylie's Snowman

Many weeks ago (as it seems all my posts are these days!) we went over to my parents house to go sledding. Brody still hates the snow so it works out great. The girls sled and mommy stays inside with the little man. Except this time I was forced got to stay out with them, while Mamoo stayed in with him. So after a bit of sledding (them, NOT me) we headed down to the lake. The girls always talk about walking on the lake so we had to do that of course! There was a coating of snow on the ice so it was really rough and not slippery at all. It kinda made it less fun, but we took care of that! (I'll post the videos at the end.)

Kylie really wanted to build a snowman, so Reygann had enough and went inside but Daddy, Kylie, and I got busy.

Umm, I don't think you are supposed to sit on it!

stacking it up

helping to give him a little more shape

And the finished product...

and the finished product!

Mommy and Daddy each made a side. 2 snowmen for the price of 1!

So which one do you like better?
After being disappointed by the ice we realized that the ice under the dock was still smooth as glass, so we started playing on that. Obviously that is a little hard to do, but not when Daddy is there!

The other videos

For whatever reason these wouldn't post in the last post, so here they are...

We joked about how it was like they were bowling, and we got the idea to try it out! They had a blast and we did this over and over and over again! A little tiny bit of myself wanted to try it out, but I refrained... maybe next time (it's not likely, but maybe!)

Kylie's driver of the week poster

I just realized this weekend that I never posted a picture of Kylie's poster for school. If you are on Facebook, you would have heard a LOT about this! So I am posting it for you now.
Here's a shot of the whole thing. Each pink paper was a different thing that she loves. They all lift up and she wrote/drew something about each one. The back looks white, but we actually covered it with glitter! It's got to be girly!

Of course I can't leave it at that! So here are closer pictures of each part!

Her Daddy

I Love spending time with my Daddy (Dabby, actually!)

Being Silly

I like being silly sometimes

Babies

I like babies because they are cute!

Cooking

I like baking cookies!

Her earrings

I love my earrings

Dressing up
I like to be pretty. I wish I was a princess!
Playing in the snow

I like eating snow and making ice cream

Everyone loved the poster, after it was at school we hung it up in her room. It kept falling down, so it is on the shelve in the closet now. Hopefully when the play room is all done we can put it in there.

Reygann's Birthday

I can't believe my little peanut is 4 years old already! (Don't we say that every year?) I kinda felt like she got cheated this year, her birthday landed on Wednesday... the busiest day of our week! I had to wake up the birthday girl early so we could get Kylie off to school and we could head to work. Soon as we got done working we picked Kylie up crammed in some dinner and headed off to AWANA's. They didn't get home till after their bedtime (like every week), and she almost didn't get to open her presents! But, I guess that is how life is. Life doesn't stop because it's your birthday!

I realized that the whole day had almost past and I hadn't even taken a picture of her on her birthday yet! So I snapped a few right before we were walking out the door (Seriously, Cubbie vest in hand, coat in the other!), she wanted me to take them on the stairs so I agreed. I wish we weren't so rushed cause she's a little cheesy here, but whatcha gonna do.
Present time!

Ohh, a new Princess dress up! (I think we have all the major princesses covered now!)

Walkie talkies (That are SO getting returned! They don't work for squat!)

Some new doll baby clothes (The only things I didn't get on clearance!)

a fancy party dress for the baby

Scarves! She actually got 2 and Kylie and I got this same one she is holding up so we all match.

And a tea set! Kylie was freaking out because it had Barbie on it! Which is too funny cause she just gets this stuff from school... she wouldn't know what Barbie was otherwise!
Since we were so rushed on her birthday we went out for her birthday dinner the next night, and we planned a trip to the jump place in our mall! We invited Harrison and Haven too, the girls were really excited! They even ended up coming out to dinner with us! It's been a while since we have all gone out, but we were happy that it went smoother than the last time!

Deric swears that the guy in this mural could have been him a few years back. I'm glad he had cut his pony tail off before I met him!

Reygann got her free birthday ice cream, balloons, and song... and I missed it! Kylie HAD to go to the bathroom and just couldn't wait, so knowing our waiter it could have been a year before he came back so I took her. And of course he chose then to come! Oh well Daddy took a few pictures fine I wasn't around to.

Soaking it in.

I think she was ready for them to be done singing so she could eat!

Don't you love the ring around her face?!
