House Update with a sneak peek!

So I've been extremely busy and still haven't updated the blog in quite sometime. I haven't even had a chance to look through the pictures I have uploaded! But here are a few picts to hold you over till I can get around to going through all of them...

Change can happen quickly when it's time. This is what the room looked like (after we had already been cleaning it)

and finally carpet! It was crazy, Deric was cutting wood right there in the room there was saw dust everywhere and hours later I had carpet! Then a day later we were sleeping in our new room!

Check out my closet! The right side is all hanging, Deric has the top and I have the bottom. The shelves have folded clothes shoes and the like on them. The left side where you see the ends of the shelves now has a cap on the end so you no longer see in the shelves.

Now for the sneak peek... brace yourselves people!

Tan-tan-ta! That's all you're gonna get, Sorry! There are a few key things missing so you can't see it till it's finished.... but the good news is I'll show you the bathroom. That makes up for it doesn't it? (Never mind the moving blanket in the corner. It's our safe. For some reason it hasn't found it's home yet and still sits under the moving blanket in the corner. It's been there (give or take a few feet) since the project began!)

I love my table, don't know why. I just do.

The shadow of the shower rod kinda makes it look like we have vaulted ceilings, maybe next time?

Isn't my bathroom amazing?? It is such an upgrade from what we had before (This is the best I could find, see how close the tub is to the door? There was hardly room to turn around in there!), I LOVE it!!

The Kids Rooms

If you are on facebook this is old news... (but only by a day). We finally got the girls beds painted and in! They've only been ready for paint since August!! Oh my!

I can't wait for 'becca to come paint flowers on the green wall. What do you think? I'm having a hard time picturing it...

Here is a quick shot of Brody's new room.

I painted it the same color as the room he just moved out of. (I moved him because he and the girls were keeping each other awake, and knocking on the walls and talking to each other and stuff like that. Plus his new room is supposed to be smaller than his last one, but I think the last one was actually smaller so that was another bonus reason.) We only put the beds in last night so nothing is hung yet or anything like that. I'll have to post more pictures when they get hung.

I had Deric cut me a piece of plywood to put on the top bunk and put Brody's car rug up there it gives him his own special place to play. I think it is a pretty great idea, especially since we still can't find our other mattresses!

Last night Brody slept in his new bed for the first time and did a pretty good job. He came out 2 times, the first time was because his baby fell between the bed and the wall, and the second time was because the cat came in his room and he doesn't like that! (If we accidentally put him to bed with the cat in his room he would flip out, it's crazy! Sometimes it is hours later, I often wondered if Frankie jumped in his crib or something!)

He has this whole bed, and he sleeps sideways at the top! What a goober!

Just in case you are wondering we have the drawer that isn't in. The glide on the bottom is broken so I left it out after cleaning it.

Snow, snow, and more snow!

We had a couple big snow storms and really got dumped on this winter. It was so pretty when everything was all white and fluffy! I just wish it could be warmer and white and fluffy!

Umm yeah, that's all.

Gettin' Pretty

Brody had been playing upstairs for a little bit and got quiet and I started to wonder what he was up to. I went to go check on him just as he was coming down the stairs. I noticed he had stuff on his face and had to hog tie him to check it out!

This is what he got into, the girls hair glitter! Apparently he tried eating it along with wiping it around the bathroom!

Happy St Patricks Day!!

Happy St Patty's Day!! Of course we had our annual St Patty's Party. We surprised mom the first year, and kinda surprised her the second... after that we figure the jig is up. She has to expect it by now! Mom played along and was 'surprised' when the kids came out all dressed up.

Hudson slept through almost the whole party...

...that's probably a good thing. It got crazy at times!

When I was at Key Lime Cove in Jan I found these plates at a store and had to get them for mom (you can see the second on the table).

And threw in a green mug too. Now she has her own special Irish mug for work.

After our party we caught a quick nap and headed out for the 1st annual St Patty's Parade in our town. I made sure we were all decked out!

(although, we don't have a good picture to prove it...)

Brody still wasn't interested in wearing his hat and he kept swapping with everyone. Kylie looks pretty cute in the mini hat.

Watching the scoops go by

The bad thing about a night parade is it's impossible to get a good picture!

These green blobs are girls wearing glow necklaces on their bodies and ankles. Kinda turned out fun though.

And I caught (kinda) a two faced Brody... can you see it?
